A Letter of Intent has been signed between the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) to cooperate in the joint preparation of an operational guideline for hosting future sessions of the World Urban Forum based on the WUF13 Baku standards, APA reports.
The Letter of Intent was signed after the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Anacláudia Rossbach on May 16.
The document, intended to support future host parties in the decision-making process, aims to increase the operational efficiency of upcoming events based on the successful preparation phase of WUF13 held in Baku.
