Erdoğan says Türkiye will continue to support Ukraine–Russia talks in meeting with Zelenskyy -UPDATED

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has discussed peace, trade and regional cooperation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, APA's Türkiye bureau reports.

The leaders discussed Türkiye–Ukraine bilateral relations, efforts to find peace in the Ukraine–Russia war, as well as regional and global developments.

During the meeting, Erdoğan stated that Türkiye will continue to support negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, and noted that the region needs more peace and stability.

He emphasized that Türkiye attaches great importance to navigation safety in the Black Sea and highlighted the importance of energy supply security. He also stated that Türkiye is determined to increase mutual trade turnover with Ukraine and will continue taking necessary steps in this direction.

The Turkish President also expressed satisfaction with Ukraine’s development of relations with Gulf countries during the meeting.
