Azerbaijani MES extinguished fire at furniture workshop in Baku -PHOTO-VIDEO-UPDATED

The fire, which occurred in the area known as Baksol road in the Binagadi district of Baku, has been fully extinguished by forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The fire that broke out in a furniture workshop in the area called Baksol Road, Binagadi district, Baku city, was contained thanks to the necessary and urgent measures taken by the forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Deputy Chief of the Fire Fighting Headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Lieutenant Colonel Ruslan Piralizadeh informed, APA reports.

Currently, the operation to completely extinguish the fire is ongoing.

A fire has broken out at a furniture workshop in the Binagadi district of Azerbaijan’s capital, Baku, with emergency services deployed to the scene, APA reports, citing the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Police officers were immediately dispatched to the area following reports of the blaze.

Authorities said оперативe measures are being taken to ensure the safe evacuation of citizens, secure the area, and allow firefighters to operate without obstruction.

Police are also working to ease traffic congestion in the vicinity and regulate vehicle movement.

Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said a call had been received via its “112” hotline reporting a fire at a furniture workshop located along the Baksol road in Binagadi district.

Firefighting units were promptly sent to the scene, and efforts to contain the fire are ongoing.

Officials said further information will be provided as the situation develops.
