The SOCAR Carbamide plant located in Sumgayit city fully meets the needs of the domestic market, said the director of the enterprise, Kutay Durna, during a media tour of the plant, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, about 12% of production is allocated for local consumption, while the rest is exported.
Kutay Durna also noted that the SOCAR Carbamide plant is the largest carbamide plant in the region.
The director of the plant said that in 2024, the plant exported products to Türkiye, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, and Canada.
"If there are no logistical difficulties, we can even send our products to the United States. Because our plant produces quality products. The plant's production capacity is 650 thousand tons," Kutay Durna emphasized.
He recalled that recently the SOCAR Carbamide plant was accepted as a member of the prestigious Global Lighthouse Network of the World Economic Forum, as well as awarded the Forum's Digital Lighthouse Award. This achievement is an indicator of international recognition of the successes achieved at the plant in the field of digitalization of production, application of artificial intelligence and advanced technologies, and energy efficiency.
