On August 22, an attempt to violate the state border from the Islamic Republic of Iran in the direction of the Republic of Azerbaijan was prevented in the service area of the "Goytapa" border detachment of the Border Troops of the State Border Service, APA reports, citing the information by the Press Center of the State Border Service.
It was noted that as a result of border search and operational measures carried out in the service area, a total of 6 kilograms and 95 grams of marijuana, 150 Gelopain-400 tablets, 60 Portal 0.4 tablets, and 60 Sigomet tablets were discovered and seized.
"Operational-investigative measures on the fact are ongoing," the statement said.
