"I hear criticism that the Karabakh issue was once and for all closed with the Washington agreement. I must remind you that back in March 2025, I openly declared in parliament that I would lead Armenia on a path that excludes the continuation of the Karabakh movement. I said that if the people do not agree with this, I call on them to revolution. The people - you, dear citizens, did not make a revolution because you understood: there can be no talk of peace without the Karabakh issue being closed," Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this in his address to the people today, APA reports.
The Prime Minister said that the Karabakh issue was used by some forces as a tool to prevent Armenia from developing its independence and statehood.
He also spoke about people of Armenian origin who voluntarily left Karabakh.
"I have stated this, and I repeat: their return to Azerbaijan is unrealistic and dangerous for peace. Armenia, together with the international community, must create conditions for their living and integration in our country," the Prime Minister emphasized.
