As part of the Great Return program, another resettlement to the village of Ballija in the Khojaly district took place on July 28, the Public Relations Department of the Service for Restoration, Construction, and Management in the city of Khankendi, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts told APA’s Karabakh bureau.
In this stage, 17 families consisting of 62 people were relocated to the village of Ballija. They are former internally displaced persons who had been living for many years in various regions of the country, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings.
Sabuhy Gahramanov, Deputy Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the city of Khankendi and Aghdara and Khojaly districts, congratulated the residents on returning to their native lands and presented them with the keys to their individual houses.
