Main index indicators of world stock markets

On June 27, U.S. stock markets recorded gains in major indices. The Dow Jones index rose by 0.94% to 43,386.84 points, the S&P 500 index increased by 0.80% to 6,141.02 points, and the Nasdaq index climbed by 0.97% to 20,167.91 points, APA-Economics reports.

In the European stock markets, the FTSE 100 index rose by 0.19% to 8,735.60 points, Germany’s DAX index increased by 0.64% to 23,649.30 points, while France’s CAC-40 index slightly declined by approximately 0.01%, falling to 7,557.31 points.

In the global markets, the euro’s exchange rate against the dollar rose by 0.11% to 1.1688 dollars.

Analysts note that the growth in US markets was driven by strong performance in the technology and industrial sectors, while expectations around the Federal Reserve’s interest rate policy boosted risk-oriented investment. In Europe, the rise in FTSE 100 and DAX is mainly attributed to strong corporate reports and the weakening euro. The slight decline in CAC 40 is linked to a slowdown in France’s energy and banking sectors.
