Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that Israel has carried out strikes targeting Iran’s military-industrial capabilities, as tensions between the two countries continue to escalate.
Writing on the social media platform X, Netanyahu said Israeli forces were continuing operations in Tehran and beyond.
“I promised you that we would continue our campaign in Tehran, and we are doing so now,” he said. “After destroying 70% of their ammunition production capacity, today we attacked petrochemical plants.”
Netanyahu added that the Israel Defense Forces would continue striking Iran’s energy infrastructure as part of its ongoing operations.
The remarks come amid heightened regional tensions, with concerns growing over the potential for further escalation between Israel and Iran.
