Russia and Serbia extend gas agreement for three months

The natural gas agreement between Russia and Serbia has been extended for three months, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said, APA reports citing Serbian media.

Vučić noted that during his conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, he secured the extension of the contract ensuring gas supplies from Russia to Serbia for the next three months on very favorable terms.

“We discussed almost all areas, and the most important issue for me was the extension of the gas contract for the next three months under very favorable conditions. Therefore, I thanked President Putin,” Vučić said.

According to him, after Belarus, Serbia will have the lowest natural gas prices in Europe.

Vučić added that he also discussed with Putin cooperation between Serbia and Russia in various economic fields, particularly issues related to the period of 2026–2031.
