Peskov: Putin ready for talks with Zelenskyy only in Moscow

Russian President Vladimir Putin did not propose a meeting to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy; it was the Ukrainian president who sought the meeting, said Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov while commenting on Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s refusal to meet Putin in Moscow, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.

The Kremlin spokesman emphasized that Russia (President Vladimir Putin – ed.) is ready to hold talks, but only in Moscow.

Peskov also commented on Zelenskyy’s statement that the Ukrainian side is not ready to make concessions on Donbas and the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and will not hand them over without a fight:

“We have seen these statements. In this context, it is important to note that the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant has been under Russia’s control for more than two years. The only question here is whether this means that the Kyiv regime intends to fight to regain the plant. Does it intend to attack the plant? As for Donbas, the dynamics on the front line speak for themselves. There is no need to add anything else.”
