Hotel Continental – Art Space in Exile invites art enthusiasts to the opening of the total installation titled "ღ"(pronounced: ghani), created by Kazakh artist Anna Kin, Azernews reports.
The exhibition will take place on September 9 at 19:00 . The project has been curated by Zuleykha Ibad, the curator from Azerbaijan.
The project features multi-channel videos of alphabets from various regions and explores how language triggers our emotional and bodily experiences. Set in a dimly lit space, the installation invites the audience into a thoughtful environment where themes of memory, language, and historical trauma are explored through sound, movement, and form. Drawing from personal histories and oral memory, the project turns diasporic experiences into a broader cultural conversation.
The public program titled "Narratives that Listen Back" will also be held alongside the exhibition:
- September 11, 19:00 — Dr. Banu Çiçek Tülü (Turkiye): "Queering the Voice: Language Beyond Words and Body"
- September 13, 18:00 — Nikolay Karabinovych (Ukraine): "Golden Piece Area: L – Labubu, C – Curtis Yarvin, and Hidden Storage in the Work Center"
