U.S. President Donald Trump has sent a message to Baku Energy Week, APA reports.
The message was read by Caleb Orr, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Economic, Energy and Business Affairs, who attended the official opening ceremony of the 31st International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition “Caspian Oil and Gas,” the 14th Caspian International Power and Green Energy Exhibition “Caspian Power,” and the 31st Baku Energy Forum held within the framework of Baku Energy Week at the Baku Expo Center.
The message reads:
"His Excellency Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan,
I extend my congratulations to you and the people of Azerbaijan as you host the 31st Baku Energy Week. This achievement is a testament to Azerbaijan’s leadership in the field of energy security.
Our countries share a long history of cooperation in the hydrocarbon sector and are committed to ensuring accessible and abundant energy. The United States has been a strong supporter of Azerbaijan’s oil and gas industry, and I firmly believe that the importance of our robust partnership in global energy security will only grow in the years ahead.
When we met at the White House, we took a step forward and achieved a lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan. As you know, regional energy integration is a key pillar of the historic peace summit held on August 8. My Administration looks forward to productive discussions on this matter in June.
