A total of 24 ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz over the past 24 hours, the Naval Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated, APA reports.
It was stated that over the past 24 hours, 24 ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz in coordination with the IRGC and Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The statement noted that the actual number of vessels authorized to pass through the strait is higher.
However, in order to prevent congestion on the waterway, permission is granted each day for only a specified number of ships to pass.
“With measures taken by the IRGC Naval Forces, Iran guarantees the security of ships passing through the designated section of the Strait of Hormuz,” the statement said.
