Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has congratulated President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of Independence Day.
The congratulatory message reads:
"Dear Mr. President,
I sincerely congratulate you and the people of Azerbaijan on the occasion of your country's Independence Day.
Year after year, Azerbaijan has been increasing its role and influence in regional and international processes, demonstrating dynamic development as an important participant in regional cooperation in the fields of energy, logistics, and the economy.
Ukraine highly values the strategic nature of relations between our countries and Azerbaijan's consistent support for our state and the Ukrainian people during this extremely difficult period.
I would like to express my special gratitude for the humanitarian and energy assistance provided to Ukraine, Azerbaijan's participation in the reconstruction of the city of Irpin, as well as the implementation of rehabilitation and health improvement programs for Ukrainian children. These steps are a manifestation of genuine solidarity and mutual respect between our states.
Ukraine remains firmly committed to supporting the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of states within their internationally recognized borders. I am confident that adherence to these principles will continue to serve as the foundation of stability and security in the Black Sea-Caspian region.
I am convinced that there is significant potential for further development of cooperation between Ukraine and Azerbaijan in the fields of energy, logistics, transport connectivity, infrastructure, and security. Amid the transformation of global energy and logistics routes, the role and resilience of our states in ensuring regional connectivity will become even more important. I believe that the Ukraine-Azerbaijan strategic partnership will continue to strengthen for the benefit of our states and peoples.
Dear Mr. President, I wish you strong health and success in your high state duties."
