At least 27 injured after two trams collide in Germany’s Düsseldorf

AT least 27 people have been injured including five in serious condition after two trams collided in Germany, the Irish Sun reports.

The horror crash between two carriages with about 60 passengers on board unfolded in Düsseldorf – with police now probing the terrifying smash.

The local fire department said they attended to at least 28 other people who were unharmed in the shocking collision.

The two trams struck each other at around 11:30am on Saturday.

The horrifying smash took place at the intersection of Berliner Allee and Graf-Adolf-Straße (Friedrichstadt).

Local authorities have launched an investigation into the ordeal.
