Urban regeneration should not lead to undesirable consequences, Inti Munoz, Housing Minister of Mexico City, said during the forum titled “Rethinking Cultural Heritage and Inclusive Urban Regeneration” held within the framework of WUF13, APA reports.
“Historic centers and historic cities are considered cultural heritage. Broad consensus must be achieved when carrying out such work. These efforts should also contribute to economic sustainability. We are trying to restore and preserve old cities without harming the spirit of the city. But for this, broad consensus must be reached,” he noted.
