The Organization of Turkic States (OTS) is strengthening its international positions, said MP Rizvan Nabiyev, member of the Supervisory Board of the Agency on State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations, at the 2nd Cooperation Forum of NGOs of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States, APA reports.
He said that new partners, opportunities, and cooperation prospects are being explored in the “Organization of Turkic States plus” format: “New concepts regarding the synthesis of classical and public diplomacy should be prepared. One of the directions of peace initiatives is the creation of platforms. These are the activities of Track 1 diplomacy, that is, classical diplomacy. The other direction is the activity of the non-governmental organizations of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States seated in the hall, which is Track 2 diplomacy. This includes public diplomacy, science diplomacy, and cultural diplomacy. Because one complements the other.”
R. Nabiyev emphasized that in this sense, another international forum of the United Nations, which will begin in Baku in two days, attracts particular attention:
“This forum will demonstrate the activities carried out in the direction of restoring the liberated territories of a country whose lands were destroyed as a result of occupation and which suffered damages exceeding USD 150 billion.”
