In line with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev, the Great Return process to Azerbaijan’s liberated territories continues.
Another relocation caravan has been dispatched to Zangilan city and Shukurbeyli village of Jabrayil District.
The relocated families are internally displaced persons who had lived for many years in temporary accommodation across different regions of the country, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings.
At this stage, 26 people from 5 families have been relocated to Zangilan city, while 453 people from 107 families have moved to Shukurbeyli village of Jabrayil district.
In total, 112 families consisting of 479 people have returned to their native lands.
According to the information provided, four of the families relocated to Zangilan city came from Baku, while one family arrived from Sumgayit. With this latest relocation, a total of 84 families comprising 339 people have so far been resettled in the city.
The families relocated to Shukurbeyli village are mainly residents from Baku, Bilasuvar, Absheron, Shirvan, Sumgayit, Hajigabul, Mingachevir, Beylagan, Tartar, and Fuzuli districts.
Currently, a total of 214 families consisting of 915 people have been resettled in the village. The relocation process to the remaining 421 houses is expected to continue according to schedule until May 21.
Residents returning to their native lands expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva for the state care and support provided to them.
They also expressed appreciation to the Azerbaijani Army for liberating the territories and honored the memory of the martyrs who lost their lives during the battles.
