US VP announced progress in negotiations between US and Iran

US Vice President J.D. Vance, speaking to reporters, announced progress in negotiations with Iran, APA reports.

"These are very sensitive negotiations. I can't tell you everything because we're trying to have a productive discussion," he said, responding to a question about the progress of consultations with Tehran. "This morning, I spent a long time on the phone with Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff, as well as with several of our friends in the Arab world. I think we're making progress," Vance said.

"The fundamental question is whether this progress is sufficient to satisfy the president's core demand. The red line is simple: he needs to be confident that we will secure guarantees that Iran will never acquire a nuclear weapon," the vice president added.
