A humanitarian aid convoy sent from Azerbaijan has crossed the border and headed to Iran, APA’s regional correspondent reports.
The third humanitarian aid convoy sent to Iran entered the “South Astara” state border checkpoint.
After the cargo trucks passed the relevant customs procedures at the border checkpoint, the passage of the humanitarian aid convoy to the Islamic Republic of Iran was ensured.

Under the instructions of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, another batch of humanitarian aid was sent to the Islamic Republic of Iran on April 4, APA reports.
The aid was organized following a telephone conversation held on March 8 between President Ilham Aliyev and President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, with the aim of supporting the current needs of the neighboring and friendly Iranian people.
The total volume of the humanitarian assistance amounts to 200 tons, including 190 tons of food products, 7 tons of pharmaceuticals, and 3 tons of medical equipment.
The aid was dispatched in ten trucks.
