Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met with Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Unal Ustel on April 1, the Cabinet of Ministers told APA.
The meeting discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus across various fields.
The sides positively assessed the intensity of high-level mutual visits, as well as the development of cooperation through inter-parliamentary ties and political parties.
The importance of expanding cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, particularly in culture and tourism, was emphasized.
The significance of cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States was highlighted, noting the contributions of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to the organization’s activities as an observer.
The meeting of heads of government and vice presidents of the Organization of Turkic States held in Baku was also noted, with emphasis on its role in strengthening intergovernmental coordination and advancing a common agenda in priority areas defined by the heads of state.
