Russia has agreed, in response to a request from Trump, to refrain from striking Ukraine until February 1 in order to create favorable conditions for talks, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, APA’s Moscow bureau reports.
According to him, Moscow accepted Trump’s request not to strike Ukraine until February 1.
Peskov confirmed that Trump indeed personally asked Putin not to strike Ukraine for a week.
The Russian leader’s press secretary noted that the purpose of the US president’s request is to create favorable conditions for negotiations.
