The United States is following what's happening in Iran "very closely," President Donald Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on Sunday evening, APA reports, citing Iran International.
“If they start killing people like they have in the past, I think they are going to get hit very hard by the United States," he warned.
Beginning on 28 December 2025, mass demonstrations erupted across multiple cities in Iran amid a deepening economic crisis and widespread dissatisfaction.
The current protests are considered the largest in Iran since 2022.
