Trump: US forces won't be in Venezuela if Rodriguez listens to Washington

American troops will not be deployed to Venezuela if Vice President Delcy Rodriguez of the Bolivarian Republic does what Washington wants. This was stated by US President Donald Trump in an interview with the New York Post, APA reports.

Trump was asked whether "the U.S. military would be stationed [in Venezuela] and help run the country." "If the vice president does what we want, we won't have to do that," he replied.

The American leader added that the United States "has spoken to her repeatedly, and she understands" the situation.

At the same time, Trump did not rule out a second wave of strikes against Venezuela, stating that the United States is prepared and that the second wave could be "much larger than the first."
