Somalia has thanked Azerbaijan for its support for Somalia’s territorial integrity, APA reports.
Ahmed Gaashaan, deputy director of the communications department at the Somali Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijan in a post on his X account.
“We acknowledge with respect the position of Azerbaijan in support of the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of the Federal Republic of Somalia. This stance reflects Azerbaijan’s commitment to the principles of international law and the preservation of recognized statehood,” Gaashaan said.
Note that the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed support for the territorial integrity of Somalia after Israel officially recognized Somaliland.
