Human clone will not be recognized as a patentable object, APA reports.
This is reflected in the proposed amendment to the Law on Patents, which was discussed at today's session of the Milli Majlis.
According to the draft, methods of human cloning and the human clone itself, methods of modifying the genetic integrity of human embryonic cell lines, and the use of human embryos for industrial purposes are not recognized as patentable subjects.
The project was put to a vote and adopted in the first reading.
