Discussions were held on expanding economic cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States, the Ministry of Economy told APA-Economics.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov met with the Chargé d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in the Republic of Azerbaijan, Amy Carlon.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the development of relations with the United States. It was noted that there are broad prospects for the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the U.S. in areas such as economic and trade relations, energy, investment, transport and transit, industry, and others.
The parties discussed the possibilities of realizing the existing potential for expanding economic cooperation between the two countries through joint initiatives and emphasized the importance of projects implemented within the framework of mutual interests for regional development.
During the meeting, Azerbaijan's role as a reliable energy partner and a strategic hub between Europe and Central Asian countries was highlighted, and views were exchanged on the prospects of the Middle Corridor and the development of partnerships in various sectors of the economy.
