All energy and logistical resources will be delivered to Türkiye via the Zangezur corridor

All energy resources and logistics routes will soon be delivered to Türkiye via the Zangezur corridor, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Türkiye, Alparslan Bayraktar told journalists within the framework of the opening ceremony of the Türkiye-Syria gas pipeline, APA-Economics' correspondent assigned to Türkiye reports.

Azerbaijani electricity is transmitted to Türkiye via Georgia

According to him, currently, electricity from Azerbaijan is delivered to Türkiye via Georgia.

Central Asian energy resources will also reach Europe through Azerbaijan

"At the same time, other energy sources and other logistics issues in Central Asia will be delivered to Türkiye via Azerbaijan, and to Europe via Türkiye," the minister noted.

Energy projects carried out together with Azerbaijan continue

Alparslan Bayraktar emphasized that all projects related to the export of natural resources in Azerbaijan - oil, gas, as well as electricity to Türkiye- are being carried out together with Azerbaijan.

One of the important projects – Nakhchivan-Türkiye electricity interconnector

"There has been significant progress in this direction. As examples of projects implemented to date, I can mention the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan, Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum pipelines, as well as the Nakhchivan-Türkiye electricity interconnector," the minister added.

Inauguration ceremony of the pipeline was held

It should be noted that the opening ceremony of the Türkiye-Syria natural gas pipeline was held in the Yavuzlu village of the Kilis province of Türkiye. With the commissioning of the pipeline, the export of Azerbaijani gas to Syria via Türkiye began.

Annual transportation of 1.2 billion cubic meters is planned

It should be noted that preparations for the transportation of natural gas under the recently signed document between SOCAR and Syria have been completed. In the first stage, 1.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year is planned to be sent to Syria. The gas will pass through the city of Kilis on the Turkish border and reach the power plants in Aleppo and Homs and will be used for electricity generation. Thanks to this, a production capacity of approximately 1,200–1,300 megawatts is targeted.
