Visa-free travel regime between Azerbaijan and China comes into effect today

The “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on Mutual Visa Exemption for Citizens Holding Ordinary Passports” entered into force on July 16, 2025, APA reports.

According to the agreement, citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan holding valid ordinary passports of the Republic of Azerbaijan and citizens of the People’s Republic of China holding valid ordinary passports of the People’s Republic of China are exempt from visa requirements for entering, leaving and transiting the territory of the other country for a period not exceeding thirty (30) days per visit and not exceeding a total of ninety (90) days in any one hundred and eighty (180) day period.

It should be noted that the “Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on Mutual Visa Exemption for Citizens Holding Ordinary Passports” was signed on April 23, 2025 in Beijing.
