Another “Hayastan” MP’s immunity revoked, fight breaks out in parliament -VIDEO

The Armenian parliament is discussing the issue of stripping Artur Sarkisyan, an MP from the "Hayastan" faction, of his parliamentary immunity, APA reports.

After delivering his speech, Artur Sarkisyan did not respond to any questions and stated that the "Civil Contract" party decides everything and that he will be stripped of his parliamentary immunity.

Tensions rose in the parliament, and a fight broke out among the members.

that Armenia’s former defense minister, Seyran Ohanyan, has been stripped of his parliamentary immunity. In addition to Ohanyan, Artsvik Minasyan, the secretary of the opposition “Hayastan” faction, has also had his immunity revoked.

Last week, Armenia’s Prosecutor General submitted a motion to the parliament to strip former defense minister and leader of the opposition “Hayastan” faction, Seyran Ohanyan, of his parliamentary immunity.

Recall that the criminal case against the leader of the “Hayastan” faction concerns the illegal appropriation of 10,500 square meters of land in the Draxtik community of Gegharkunik province during 2010-2015. Ohanyan is accused of unlawfully acquiring this land while serving as defense minister and building a mansion at the state’s expense.
