Baku City Executive Power responded to the appeal of the Musavat Party to hold a picket in front of the Russian Embassy in Azerbaijan on July 8, APA reports.
The city hall did not consider it appropriate to hold the rally.
It was reported that on June 27, 2025, the Republic of Azerbaijan officially protested to the Russian side regarding the illegal and violent acts committed against Azerbaijanis by Russian law enforcement agencies in the city of Yekaterinburg, Russian Federation, and appropriate steps were taken in this direction. Taking into account the above, as well as Part I of Article 7 of the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Freedom of Assembly", it is not considered appropriate to hold a picket in front of the administrative building of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Azerbaijan on July 8, 2025.
