Russia calls on Azerbaijan to take measures to return the countries' relations to the level of a strategic alliance, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, said this at a briefing today, APA's Moscow correspondent reports.
According to her, Baku has not yet provided consular employees with the opportunity to visit detained Russian citizens.
The diplomat stressed that issues arising in relations between the two countries should be resolved in partnership, using political and diplomatic channels.
Zakharova noted that Russians who are in Azerbaijan or plan to travel there should take into account the current situation.
