"I call upon the E3 countries- Germany, France and the UK to reinstate all sanctions against Iran!" Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar shared on his X account, APA reports.
"The time to activate the Snapback mechanism is now! I call upon the E3 countries- Germany, France, and the UK to reinstate all sanctions against Iran! Iran has just issued a scandalous announcement about suspending its cooperation with the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency). This is a complete renunciation of all its international nuclear obligations and commitments. The international community must act decisively now and utilize all means at its disposal to stop Iranian nuclear ambitions," the minister noted.
Note that the “Snapback” mechanism, or the automatic reinstatement of sanctions, was established in UN Security Council Resolution 2231, adopted in 2015, which endorsed the nuclear deal with Iran. This mechanism allows any participating state, if it believes that the terms of the deal have been violated, to restore international sanctions against Iran.
