Ali Motahari, former deputy speaker of the Iranian parliament, criticized Russia for not selling S-400 systems to Iran on his “X” account, APA reports.
“Russia has supplied S-400 air defense systems to Türkiye and Saudi Arabia. But it does not provide these systems to Iran, which has helped it with drones in the war with Ukraine. This is because these systems could be used against Israel. This is the nature of the so-called strategic cooperation with Iran that Mr. Putin talks about,” Motahari said.
