Military parade held in Azerbaijan's Khankendi on occasion of Armed Forces Day-PHOTO-VIDEO

A military parade organized on the occasion of June 26 - Armed Forces Day was held in the city of Khankendi, the Public Relations Department of the Restoration, Construction, and Management Service in Khankendi city, Aghdara, and Khojaly districts told APA’s local bureau.

An Azerbaijani soldier marched before the parade, remembered with proud moments.

The personnel marched along designated routes in the city’s central streets accompanied by a military orchestra. Military patriotic songs and victory marches brought joy to the local residents and guests of the city and were listened to with great interest. The servicemen marching on the liberated land of Khankendi were met with applause by the citizens. The holiday march concluded at the city’s Victory Square.

Recall that the Patriotic War, which began on September 27, 2020, in response to provocations by the Armenian armed forces, lasted 44 days and ended with the signing of the capitulation act announcing Armenia’s defeat during the night of November 9 to 10. This victory, which resulted in the liberation of Azerbaijan’s lands occupied by Armenia for nearly 30 years, ensured the territorial integrity of our country. During the 44 days, the Azerbaijani Army liberated more than 300 villages, settlements, and cities, including Shusha. In the Second Karabakh War, about 3,000 Azerbaijani servicemen and approximately 93 civilians were martyred, and thousands of soldiers, officers, and peaceful residents were wounded.

On the third anniversary of the victory — during the night of September 19 to 20, 2023 — local antiterror operations were carried out against separatist and illegal Armenian military units in Karabakh. This operation lasted approximately 23 hours and resulted in the full restoration of state sovereignty over all Azerbaijani territories.
