"Work is underway in Azerbaijan to develop new state standards for information technology and internet infrastructure security in line with international practices," Kamala Mammadzade, acting director of the Azerbaijan Standardization Institute, told APA.
She stated that the standards previously applied for information security are no longer relevant, are insufficient for ensuring cybersecurity, and do not meet modern technological challenges.
“Currently, we are preparing broader and more modern standards in this field. These standards will not be limited to IT infrastructure but will also cover service sectors, internet connections, information flow, and providers,” she said.
