Azerbaijani Parliament adopts amendments to Nakhchivan Constitution in first reading

At today’s session of the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani Parliament), the draft Constitutional Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan “On Approval of Amendments to the Constitution of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic” was put up for discussion, APA reports.

The draft Constitutional Law envisages the addition of two new articles (Article 3-1 and Article 28-1) to the Constitution of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, the removal of one article (Article 5), and amendments to several articles as well as to the preamble.

After the discussions, the draft law was put to a vote and adopted in the first reading.
