One person has died and two others have been injured in floods caused by heavy rainfall in Chechnya and Dagestan, Russian media reports.
Access to 16 settlements has been cut off.
According to “Mash”, four main roads connecting mountainous districts in Dagestan have become unusable due to intense rainfall.
More than 2,000 residents in Makhachkala and Khasavyurt were left without electricity after power stations were flooded. In addition, a 9-kilometer road in the Khverec settlement has been closed.
In Ingushetia, landslides occurred on roads, and rescuers advised citizens to avoid traveling to mountainous areas.
