A meeting was held between First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev and UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed within the framework of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), APA-Economics reports, citing the Ministry of Economy.
The current state of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UN, as well as prospects for future development, were discussed during the meeting. The sides highlighted Azerbaijan’s achievements in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals and emphasized the importance of reforms carried out in this field.
During the discussions, views were exchanged on initiatives being implemented in the areas of economic development, green energy, sustainable urban planning and regional cooperation. Azerbaijan’s projects contributing to the strengthening of regional economic ties, expansion of transport and logistics opportunities, and advancement of the sustainable development agenda were also highlighted.
