Main index indicators of world stock markets

The Dow Jones Industrial Index in the U.S. stock markets fell by 1.01% to 45,960.11 points. The S&P 500 Index decreased by 1.74% to 6,477.16 points, while the Nasdaq Composite Index, dominated by technology companies, declined by 2.38% to 21,408.08 points, APA-Economics reports, citing exchange data.

The NYSE Composite Index dropped by 1.28% to 21,843.98 points. Canada’s S&P/TSX Composite Index also showed negative dynamics, decreasing by 1.53% to 31,887.52 points.

A decline was also mainly observed in European stock markets. The Euro Stoxx 50 Index fell by 1.48% to 5,565.93 points, the UK’s FTSE 100 Index decreased by 1.33% to 9,972.17 points, Germany’s DAX Index dropped by 1.50% to 22,612.97 points, and France’s CAC 40 Index declined by 0.98% to 7,769.31 points. Spain’s IBEX 35 Index also showed negative dynamics, falling by 1.21% to 16,962.90 points.

Mixed dynamics were recorded in the Asia-Pacific region. Japan’s Nikkei 225 fell by 0.12% to 53,539.31 points, while the TOPIX Index increased by 0.37% to 3,656.32 points. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index rose by 0.55% to 24,992.06 points, and China’s CSI 300 Index increased by 0.40% to 4,495.52 points. Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 declined by 0.24% to 8,505.20 points. At the same time, the MSCI Asia Pacific Index fell by 1.20% to 235.74 points.
