Türkiye’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar said an additional 620 billion liras would be required for the energy budget if the US–Israel–Iran war continues, APA reports.
According to the minister, Türkiye is closely monitoring the situation and preparing plans to avoid an energy crisis.
He noted that if the crisis continues until the end of the year, the situation will be reassessed in April:
“We need to find 620 billion liras in the budget. If this crisis continues until the end of the year, we will reassess the situation in April.
There is already a phased system in both gas and electricity. State support for citizens will be increased,” the minister added.
