Syrsky: Russia is preparing for active attacks in the Pokrovsky and Zaporozhye directions

The situation at the front is currently very difficult and is characterized by the continuation of the strategic offensive operation of the Russian Federation, APA reports citing the interview of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, with RBK-Ukraine.

"The side in play is now regrouping its forces and focusing on two main directions. One of them is the Pokrovsk direction, which is decisive for the Russians. The second is the enemy's transfer of forces from Sumy to Zaporozhye. This will be the second direction in which the enemy plans to launch active offensive operations," the commander-in-chief stated.

According to him, the situation is difficult and is characterized by constant attacks from the Russian side.

"In the Pokrovsk direction, about 50 attack attempts are recorded daily. Currently, this is the most difficult part of the front," Syrskyi said.
