Instagram was the most used social network in Azerbaijan last month, APA reports citing StatCounter.
During this period, Instagram held a 34.01% share of Azerbaijan’s social media market. This is 1.94 percentage points more compared to June of this year, but 4.15 percentage points less compared to July 2024.
Based on the number of users, Facebook ranked second with a 31.73% market share. Compared to the previous month, the platform's market share increased by 5.65 percentage points, and compared to the same period last year, by 8.85 percentage points.
YouTube was the third most used social network in the country, with a 15.31% share. This is 5.26 percentage points less compared to June, but 4.13 percentage points more year-on-year.
Last month, X (formerly Twitter) had a 7.1% market share in Azerbaijan, which represents a monthly decrease of 2.58 percentage points and a yearly decrease of 0.4 percentage points. X ranked fourth in terms of user numbers.
Pinterest ranked fifth, with a slight monthly increase of 0.08 percentage points, but a year-on-year decrease of 7.78 percentage points in market share.
In terms of user numbers, Reddit ranked sixth, holding a 2.56% market share. Compared to the previous month, Reddit’s market share dropped by 0.19 percentage points, while it rose by 0.38 percentage points year-on-year.
In July, LinkedIn ranked seventh, with a 1.18% market share. This represents a monthly increase of 0.18 percentage points, and a year-on-year decrease of 0.23 percentage points.
