The leadership of the Turkish National Defense University’s (NDU) Land Forces Military Institute and listeners of the “Headquarters Management Course” headed by Vice-Rector of the Turkish NDU, Professor Serdar Salman is on a visit to Azerbaijan, Ministry of Defense told APA.
The Turkish guests first visited the graves of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva in the Alley of Honor, as well as the Alley of Martyrs and Turkish Martyrs' Cemetery. The guests laid wreaths and flowers, as well as paid tribute to their bright memory.
Then the Rector of the Azerbaijan NDU, Major General Gunduz Abdulov met with the Turkish delegation.
After welcoming the guests, the Rector provided detailed information about the successful reforms carried out in Azerbaijani military education system and the innovations implemented in line with advanced international practices.
Noting that Azerbaijani-Turkish military cooperation is based on friendly and fraternal relations, Major General G. Abdulov highlighted the benefits that the alliance contributes to the development of military education in both countries.
In turn, Professor S.Salman expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality. He emphasized the importance of mutual visits in terms of experience exchange.
During the meeting, an extensive exchange of views was held on the positive results of the reforms implemented in the field of military education within the Azerbaijan Army, as well as other related topics. The guests’ questions were answered.
At the end of the meeting, a briefing was presented on the establishment history, education system, academic process, scientific activities of the Azerbaijan NDU and its subordinate educational institutions.
