40 more families relocated to Hasanriz village of Aghdara district receive house keys -PHOTO-UPDATED

The next resettlement convoy has arrived at the village of Hasanriz in the Aghdara district, APA's Karabakh bureau reports.

40 families, totaling 146 individuals, were resettled in the village of Hasanriz in the Aghdara district and received the keys to their new homes on June 24.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Sabuhi Gahramanov, Deputy Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the city of Khankendi and the Aghdara and Khojali districts, stated that in accordance with the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev and based on the "First State Program for the Great Return" to the liberated territories, families previously temporarily settled in difficult conditions in various parts of the republic have also relocated to the restored village of Hasanriz in the Aghdara district. Including today’s relocation, a total of 130 families, 452 people have moved to Hasanriz village.

S. Gahramanov also noted that reconstruction and restoration works are currently underway in several settlements in the Aghdara and Khojali districts. Soon, relocations to those settlements will also take place.

The residents expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva for the comprehensive state care provided to them. They also expressed their thanks to the Azerbaijani Army, the heroic soldiers and officers who liberated the lands from occupation, and prayed for the souls of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives on this path.

Note that Hasanriz village in Aghdara is supplied with uninterrupted 24-hour electricity, drinking water, and natural gas. The village has a full secondary school for 246 students, a medical center, a nursery, and a kindergarten. The population of Hasanriz mainly engages in beekeeping and animal husbandry. The first relocation to the village took place on March 3 of this year.

Another group of families has been relocated to Aghdara and Aghdam districts, APA reports.

Today, internally displaced persons were sent to Hasanriz village of Aghdara district and Sarijali village of Aghdam district.

The families being relocated had previously been temporarily settled in various parts of the country, mainly in dormitories, sanatoriums, and administrative buildings.

As part of this phase, 40 families (146 people) have been relocated to Hasanriz, and 1 family (4 people) to Sarijali.

It is worth noting that more than 43,000 people currently reside in Karabakh and East Zangezur. This population includes not only formerly displaced persons who have been resettled in the region, but also individuals involved in the implementation of various reconstruction projects, employees of local branches of government agencies, and workers in newly reopened healthcare, education, cultural, tourism, industrial, and energy entities.
