Due to the increase in passenger traffic, the national air carrier of Azerbaijan, AZAL, is increasing the frequency of flights on some domestic and international routes in June, Press Service of Azerbaijan Airlines CJSC told APA.
AZAL notes that taking into account the increasing passenger demand, additional flights have already been planned on the Baku-Nakhchivan-Baku route. During the long holiday period in June, the number of flights on this route will increase further: on some days the number of flights will reach 12. Additional flights may also be scheduled if demand increases. In total, more than 430 flights are planned to be operated in the direction of Nakhchivan during June, including regular and additional flights.
Additional flights on the Baku-Istanbul-Baku route will be operated on June 26 and 29, which will bring the number of flights on these days to 3 per day.
In addition, AZAL is expanding its flight program to Central Asian countries starting from July 2. Additional flights to Tashkent will be operated on Wednesday evenings, to Almaty on Wednesdays, and to Astana on Thursday evenings. 6 flights are planned per week for each direction.
AZAL recommends that passengers plan their trips in advance. To familiarize themselves with the flight schedule and purchase air tickets, you can visit the official website www.azal.az, the airline's mobile application, and accredited agencies.
