Iran’s Health Ministry issues statement on Mojtaba Khamenei’s condition

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei sustained minor injuries to his face, head and legs, Head of the Public Relations and Information Center of Iran’s Ministry of Health Hossein Kermanpour said, APA’s Tehran bureau reports.

According to him, the initial impression was that a person emerging from such a bombardment would have serious bodily injuries, however, apart from superficial injuries to the face, head and legs, no other serious condition had been recorded and only one or two stitches were required.

Kermanpour added that Iran’s Supreme Leader had been discharged from hospital in early March.

He also noted that “despite doctors’ insistence, Iran’s Supreme Leader did not break his fast, which was regarded as a sign that he was in good health.”
