Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) Anacláudia Rossbach said at the closing ceremony of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku that Azerbaijan played an important role in successfully organizing the World Urban Forum (WUF13), APA reports.
She particularly emphasized Azerbaijan’s resilience, determination, and high-level commitment to organizing the forum.
“Azerbaijan showed the world not only the ability to build, but also to rebuild and transform,” Rossbach noted.
The head of UN-Habitat stated that over the past two years, the Azerbaijani side had worked tirelessly to ensure the forum was meaningful, innovative, and impactful.
Rossbach also thanked government institutions, UN staff, volunteers, service providers, partners, and media representatives involved in organizing the forum.
She stressed that the message delivered from Baku should reach the whole world and that the global urban community should benefit from the knowledge, experience, and ideas gained.
