Discussions on sustainable urban development were highly active, Chairman of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture Anar Guliyev said at the closing ceremony of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), APA reports.
He stated that the forum attracted significant attention from the international media:
“More than 1,000 accredited media representatives extensively covered WUF13, contributing to the global promotion of the importance of sustainable urbanization and international cooperation.”
Anar Guliyev noted that another important outcome of WUF13 was the signing of a letter of intent on the implementation of the Baku Standard, aimed at establishing efficiency standards to be applied at future World Urban Forums.
